This week we celebrated the individuality of one of the most important parts of our business, our electrical team.
We usually make it pretty clear that we are proud of our people and the work that they do. This year to coincide with World Refrigeration Day, we are holding our first annual Coolphase Values Awards – The W’s. We’ll have a chilled celebration, throw in a few AWESOME miniaturised trophies and recognise the people that best represent who we are and how we behave.
Every strategic discussion in our office more often than not, includes a reference to the use of natural refrigerants. We are aware that we can’t let our “egos” or the “fear” of something new affect our judgement.
Last week I attended Bitzer’s training course on their transcritical CO2 systems and a walk through their Sydney production line.
“I am too old to train at the gym.”

Coolphase constantly produces apprentices that are second to none. Giving apprentices responsibility and supervising them with skilled tradesmen is key to this.
Mitch completed his electrical apprenticeship with Coolphase in 2017. In 2018 he was the lead electrician at the Coles Ripley new store refrigeration installation. I asked Mitcham a few questions about his apprenticeship.
